Mission Statement	JMJ is a long-term shelter, (the only one in Santa Cruz) for women, children, and the terminally ill. The goal of the home is to guide residents to a better life, finding permanent housing, work, education opportunities etc. JMJ is based on a traditional Catholic Christian state of living, but is open and accepting to all. JMJ is an extremely environmentally-conscious community.
Volunteer Duties	Providing childcare for infants and children including: arts and crafts, games, reading books, indoor and outdoor play. Gardening: planting, harvesting -Clean-up around the house and yard: Vacuuming, raking, cooking Supporting hard-working women in whatever they need.
Notes	Volunteering at JMJ is extremely rewarding. Volunteers are able to support hard-working women, build long-lasting relationships with the children and give back to a community that gives so much to us. Updated 5/11/20
